From atop Notre Dame, the city of Paris is at your feet. Facing west, the Seine River is to your left as is the Rive Gauche or Left Bank section of Paris. Unfortunately for me it was a foggy day so the Eiffel tower is seen as a shadow in the distance! The twin towers on the left belong to (I believe) St Sulpice church, the 2nd largest church in Paris. The Louvre is in the far right distance. Petit Pont is the bridge closest to you, while the next one in Pont St Michel. While the view is expansive below, it is crowded atop Notre Dame on the narrow walkway! If you stop for a photo, everyone behind you has to stop and wait! Then there is the netting in front of you on the walkway that prevents who knows what. Every so often, there is a hole cut in the netting so you can take a picture. Maybe the netting is to prevent everyone from spending the entire day photographing Paris every step of the way. They must have seen me coming!
