In 1966 right after England won the world cup of soccer I went down tho the Boleyn Pub close to West Ham United stadium to have a beer it was packed with soccer fans all the way out onto the pavement, I handed my money to the guy in front and in about twenty minutes my beer came out, and my change! So the base for this tribute to the west ham players that scored all of England’s winning goals is the Boleyn Pub. The other Icons in this painting are (1) The monster in the top corner stabilizes the magnitude of this event it was monstrous. (2) Adolph hanging out the window with a toilet plunger because his German team went down the toilet. (3) Michael Jackson hanging his baby out the window a sibyl of incredibility. (4) Oh yes the King of rock should of sung the English anthem. (5) The four white doves represent the four wonderful English goals. (6) The two black birds represent the two German goals. (7) Yes the pope could of decreed the four goals as heaven sent. (8) The heraldic lion and griffin represent the thunderous roar of the crowd (8) Queen Victoria who brought piece to Europe for over fifty years (9) The Duke of Wellington who beat the French at Waterloo (10 And of course Winston who is an old hand at beating Germans (11) OH! Well Henry after all the pub is named after one of his wives, mind you he did have her head cut off, separations were tough back then (12) Nelson who left a game of lawn bowling to beat the Spanish armada (13) Monty a team leader against the Germans in the past (14) Since this was the greatest sports event since the beginning of man kind it represented by Adam and Eve (15) And for the evolutionists there is the great Ape (16) I love dogs so we have to have the English Bulldog (17) The laughing sailor he is there because as a small child he made me laugh and this is a happy paining (18) No east end celebration would be great without a piano player and his iconic party (19) The home alone kid just represents “What the hell is this!” (20) Alfred’s silhouette in the last window is a mystery to me, like why have we not won the cup again. (21) The window with the reserved sign is for when England wins the cup again the hero will go in here or if the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup that scoring hero will go in. (22) There is me doing one of the things I do best having a beer. (23) The bubbles represent West Ham and their signature song “We’re forever blowing bubbles.....” (24) I would of put an Italian soccer player in but I couldn’t, they kept falling down. Now, that’s it me old chinas.
